Weekly Runs
 
IMPORTANT NOTICE - ALL GROUP RUNS ON HOLD 

As we’ve all seen in the news, the state of MA recently updated their Guidelines and Travel Advisory effective August 7th to exclude residents of RI from visiting the state of MA (other than for work, medical care, essential purposes, etc.). While we certainly consider running “essential” to our well-being, unfortunately the state doesn’t quite see it that way. Because of this new requirement, and because of the current COVID-related healthcare climate in general, we are once again putting Wamp group runs on hold. Your Wamp Run Committee and Board has been meeting and discussing this regularly throughout the past few months, and we believe we have done well in getting the Wamps back on the road for the past several Saturdays (HUGE thanks to those on the Committee who have been working very hard at this effort). However, we felt that with these latest MA state mandates, we should pull back on any Wamp group runs until they can be inclusive of all members and the associated risks with recreational group gatherings has been mitigated. We encourage everyone to still get your miles in, but to do so in your local areas and alongside the training partners with whom you’re comfortable sharing the roads. Consider sharing any accomplishments and challenges on social media or in group texts/chats with your pals. Stay connected…we’re all in this together.


Saturday Group Long Runs
 
Saturday long runs are held each week and hosted by a different club member from his/her home. Runs depart at 7:30 am in the summer and 8:00 am in the winter.
 
Long run distance varies based on marathon training schedules (the WAMPS train for Boston in the spring, and a selected Club marathon for the fall). Base runs are 10 miles.
 
All routes can be adjusted to more or fewer miles, and runners of all pace groups are welcome and encouraged to attend.
 
You do not need to be training for a marathon to enjoy our weekly long run. Runs are held rain or shine.
 
 
Sunday WAMP Runs
 
Sunday runs depart from DB Sports (546 Kelley Blvd, N. Attleboro, MA) at 8:00 am and are held year round, rain or shine.
 
All distances and abilities welcome. Routes available from 6 miles to 20+!
 
 
Summer Track Workouts
 
Track workouts are normally held Tuesday evenings on the North Attleboro High School Track (1 Wilson Whitty Way, North Attleboro). Warm ups begin at 6:15 and the workout starts at 6:30.
